I prefer to be called Kent and I’m a Web and Mobile application developer shuffle between Singapore and Vietnam. I also have a strong interest in interface design and user experience design.
It’s hard to summarise what I do with just one or two sentences, it’s a long story, buy me coffee and I’m more than happy to share. Putting it in words: currently, I’m building my 3rd company TGM Tech, a great small team of developers based in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. TGM Tech’s focus is mobile application development and providing our own SaaS service for partners. I used to work for Anideo, a company funded by Eduardo Saverin in 2011 & 2012.
Good at
I’m most familiar with PHP, Rails, iOS and the cutting-edge Titanium Mobile as my development platforms. My works cover all stages of application development, from requirement analysis to delivery. I do most of design work for my projects (so far) and I always take users into great consideration before executing any requirements. I always emphasis on great user experience rather than functionality. I am a perfectionist in my methodology and do not leave any work half-completed. Recently, I found myself to be doing more client-liaison and management tasks instead of actual coding.
Edu background
I graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Computing (Honour) degree in December 2010, majoring in Information Systems. My Final Year Project was awarded Best FYP of The Year and featured on several local and overseas newspapers. Read it on Straits Time and VietnamPlus.
Others
My hobby is photography and videography. I did produce some promotional videos and music videos for friends with my Canon 500D dSLR. These videos are private and only available at request.
